ABOUT

SYNOPSIS

An off-beat comedy about falling in love, set in Brighton, featuring songs and live performances by local bands Transformer and Bob Wants His Head Back, an ill-starred search for the village of Wivelsfield, the personal politics of perestroika in the wider context of David Hasselhoff, apricot flapjacks, unpredictable weather, gathering evidence of a seagull conspiracy, and a small cast of everyday eccentrics that usually don’t make it into films: Bulgarians, adults with learning disabilities, very tall women and elective mutes.

In a city of this many vulnerable adults, Frank and Ilse might never have met...

MISSION

A fully independent, low-budget production with no studio backing or funding by public bodies, My Accomplice premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and was nominated for Best British Film.

The makers of My Accomplice are now working towards a fully independent general release for the film, in the UK and selected screens abroad, on July 31st 2015 – to coincide with Mission: Impossible V. The plan is to release the film at 100 independent screens, to make this into a national news story and be featured and reviewed in the national press.

Then they can make another film.

THE WAY TO PROCEED...

IS TO PROCEED.

PRESS

"Irresistible performances from Alexandra Kalweit and Stuart Martin and deft writing and directing make this unassuming comedy a sure winner."

Chris Fujiwara, director Edinburgh Film Festival.

MUSIC

Soundtrack CD duplicated by Disc Factory (great to work with!)
